Ep. 46 – Love & 9/11
In this powerful episode of Pillar Talk, Chris reflects on a moment in history that changed our world forever—September 11, 2001. On that tragic day, we lost 2,977 souls. It was a moment of pain, fear, and disbelief for all of us. But what followed the next day, on September 12th, was something we must never forget: unity, compassion, and an unbreakable spirit.
On 9/12, America stood tall. We came together, regardless of race, background, or beliefs. Love poured out across communities. Strangers became neighbors. Differences disappeared in the face of what truly mattered—humanity, strength, and support for one another. We showed the world that when faced with unimaginable darkness, we could shine the brightest light.
But here’s the truth—since that time, something has shifted. Chris doesn’t sugarcoat it: the real battle isn’t just what happened on 9/11. It’s what’s happened since. We’ve allowed division, negativity, and hate to creep into our daily lives. We’ve been taught to replace kindness with anger, love with hate, and unity with division. That’s not who we are. That’s not the America we showed on 9/12.
This episode challenges each and every one of us to remember what’s possible when we come together. Chris calls us to reclaim the love, the resilience, and the power that we all displayed in the days after that tragic event. Let’s choose love over hate. Compassion over division. Let’s live intentionally, focusing on the abundance and opportunity ahead, rather than the limitations or scarcity we’ve been told to accept.
We have the power to rise above the noise, to reject the manipulation that tries to tear us apart. The legacy of 9/12 is one of strength, unity, and boundless love—and it’s on each of us to keep that spirit alive.
Today, let’s honor the lives we lost by choosing to be the people we were on September 12th. United. Strong. Filled with compassion. And committed to being better every single day.
