Every BLS course meets American Heart Association standards. Not every instructor has spent 20 years running a nursing home floor.
Angie Jackson, RN, WCC, is a Legacy Clinical Collaborator and AHA-certified BLS Instructor who has served as a floor RN, Unit Manager, Director of Nursing, and Regional Director within skilled nursing and long-term care. She doesn't just teach compressions and rescue breaths. She teaches your team what a cardiac event actually looks like in a resident with dementia, how to coordinate a response when you're short-staffed on nights, and what separates a team that freezes from a team that performs.
